The flowering of the Kholodny Yar snowdrops is available to tourists this year

The Cherkasy Regional Military Administration granted a temporary permit to visit the Kholodny Yar National Nature Park during the flowering period of the folded snowdrop. This is reported by the OVA press service on the official Facebook page.

"You remember that during the martial law in Cherkasy Oblast, a ban on visiting forests has been in effect since March 2022. This also applies to the entry of vehicles into them. However, at the request of the reserve to the Cherkasy OVA, it is temporarily allowed to visit one of the locations where the folded snowdrop blooms, starting from March 2," the message said.

Mass flowering of primroses continues these days in the "Bilosnizhny" botanical reserve on the territory of Kholodny Yar. The reserve with an area of 1.5 hectares protects the locality of the insular mainland population of the folded snowdrop, the nearest places of growth of which are the Crimea.

Only one area of blooming snowdrops is open for tourists to see, which can be approached from the "Sklyk" memorial sign. The regional administration emphasizes that you can only get to the primroses by this route. It is forbidden to get off it and go behind the signal tape.

At the beginning of 2022, the President of Ukraine signed a decree on the creation of the Kholodny Yar National Nature Park, which included 6,800 hectares of state-owned land.

На період цвітіння підсніжника складчастого Черкаська обласна військова адміністрація видала тимчасовий дозвіл на відвідування Національного природного парку "Холодний Яр". Про це повідомляє персслужба ОВА на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

"Ви пам’ятаєте, що на Черкащині на час воєнного стану ще від березня 2022 року діє заборона на відвідування лісів. Це стосується і в'їзду до них транспортних засобів. Однак за зверненням заповідника до Черкаської ОВА тимчасово дозволено відвідувати одну з локацій, де квітує підсніжник складчастий, починаючи з 2 березня", – сказано у повідомленні.

Масове цвітіння первоцвітів триває у ці дні у ботанічному заказнику "Білосніжний" на території Холодного Яру. Заказник площею 1,5 гектара охороняє локалітет острівної материкової популяції підсніжника складчастого, найближчими місцями зростання якого є Крим.

Для огляду туристами відкрито лише одну ділянку цвітіння підсніжників, до якої можна підійти від пам'ятного знаку "Склик". В обласній адміністрації наголошують, що пройти до первоцвітів можна лише цим маршрутом. Сходити з нього та заходити за сигнальну стрічку заборонено. 

На початку 2022 року Президент України підписав указ про створення Національного природного парку "Холодний Яр", до складу якого увійшло 6800 гекратів земель державної власності.
