On Friday, February 24, the premiere of the new season of the program "Let's go to the museum. Unoccupied" will take place on the Suspilne Kultura TV channel. It is dedicated to the cultural resistance of Ukraine and the fate of museums in a full-scale war, some of which were under occupation.

The authors of the "Let's go to the museum" project announced this today on the website of the Suspilne Kultura TV.

"Museums this season have different destinies: some were de-occupied, others are now in the front-line territories. There are also those museums that are in the deep rear. They all have one thing in common - they are NOToccupied. No matter how much Russia tries to occupy and destroy the Ukrainian culture, she can't do it - and she never will," said Kateryna Danylovych, editor-in-chief of the program.

In the first issue, the team will talk about the tragic events in Ivankiv, Kyiv region, where on the second day of the full-scale invasion, a Russian rocket destroyed the local history museum. The works of the artist Maria Prymachenko were stored there.

"The first news about the destroyed museum during the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine was about the Ivankiv Museum of Local Lore. I remember that I could not believe that the collection, works of Maria Prymachenko in particular, really burned down, because they were supposed to be secured with the beginning of martial law , - says presenter Olya Nosko. - The more time passes since the new stage of Russian aggression, the more news about the destroyed and looted Ukrainian museums, and they will not end as long as the occupier is on our lands. We want to record and tell not only about losses, but also about the people who continue to protect the artifacts of our memory. And also - to find out what lessons our system of cultural heritage protection can learn from this war."

In the program, viewers will learn more about the Ivankiv Historical and Local History Museum. In addition to Prymachenko's canvases, the museum kept more than 400 valuable exhibits.

Host Olya Nosko will try to find out why the museum valuables were not evacuated from the museum in time, in a conversation with the head of the culture department of the Ivankiv city council, Nadiya Biryuk, and the deputy minister of culture and digital policy, Kateryna Chueva. The museum guard, who saved the museum exhibits after the Russian missile attack, will also share his story.

"Музеї у цьому сезоні мають різні долі: якісь були деокуповані, інші - нині на прифронтових територіях. Є й ті музеї, які знаходяться у глибокому тилу. Їх всіх об’єднує одне - вони НЕокуповані. Як би росія не намагалася окупувати й знищити українську культуру, їй це не вдається - і ніколи не вдасться", - зазначила шеф-редакторка програми Катерина Данилович.

У першому випуску команда розповість про трагічні події в Іванкові на Київщині, де на другий день повномасштабного вторгнення російська ракета знищила місцевий історико-краєзнавчий музей. Там зберігалися твори художниці Марії Примаченко.

"Перша звістка про зруйнований музей під час повномасштабного вторгнення росії в Україну була саме про Іванківський краєзнавчий музей. Пам’ятаю, що я не могла повірити, що колекція, роботи Марії Примаченко зокрема,  дійсно згоріли, адже вони мали бути убезпечені з початком воєнного стану, — розповідає ведуча Оля Носко. - Чим більше часу проходить з нового етапу російської агресії, тим більше новин про знищені та розграбовані українські музеї, і вони не закінчаться доти, доки окупант буде на наших землях. Ми ж хочемо зафіксувати та розповісти не лише про втрати, а й про людей, які продовжують оберігати артефакти нашої пам’яті. А ще - з’ясувати, які уроки наша система захисту культурної спадщини може винести з цієї війни".

У програмі глядачі дізнаються більше про Іванківський історико-краєзнавчий музей. Крім полотен Примаченко, музей зберігав понад 400 цінних експонатів.

Ведуча Оля Носко спробує з’ясувати, чому не були завчасно евакуйовані музейні цінності з музею, у розмові з очільницею департаменту культури Іванківської міської ради Надією Бірюк і заступницею міністра культури та цифрової політики Катериною Чуєвою. Своєю історією поділиться також сторож музею, який після російського ракетного обстрілу рятував музейні експонати.
