The Defense Council of the Zaporizhzhia Region gave permission to visit tourist sites in the northeastern part of the island, taking into account the preparatory measures carried out by the reserve.

Historical and cultural complex "Zaporozhian Sich" on the island of Khortytsia in Zaporizhzhia city will resume its work for visitors from May 8. This became known during a working trip to Zaporizhzhia by Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Rostyslav Karandeev, the administration of the Khortytsia National Reserve reports on its official website.

"Acting General Director of the National Reserve "Khortytsia" Valeriy Shevchenko spoke about the completion of the necessary measures for the partial restoration of the provision of tourist and excursion services by the reserve and the scheduled opening for visits by citizens of the Historical and Cultural Complex "Zaporozhian Sich" on May 8, 2024, which was forced to close for almost 2.5 years. This became possible with the active assistance of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration," the message states.

It is noted that the Defense Council of the Zaporizhzhia Region, taking into account the activities carried out by the reserve and understanding the important mobilizing role of the historical and cultural component, gave permission to visit tourist sites in the northeastern part of the island, in particular the Historical and Cultural Complex "Zaporozhian Sich".

The administration added that the so-called Minister Rostislav Karandeev supported the opening of excursion and tourist activities in the reserve and noted its special role as one of the important centers of national and civil identity establishment, as a place that inspires our soldiers and citizens to victory.

Історико-культурний комплекс "Запорозька Січ" на острові Хортиця у Запоріжжі з 8 травня відновлює свою роботу для відвідувачів. Про це стало відомо під час робочої поїздки до Запоріжжя виконувача обов'язків міністра культури та інформаційної політики України Ростислава Карандєєва, повідомляє адміністрація Національного заповідника "Хортиця" на офіційному сайті.

"Виконувач обов'язків генерального директора Національного заповідника "Хортиця" Валерій Шевченко розповів про завершення виконання необхідних заходів із часткового відновлення заповідником надання туристично-екскурсійних послуг та заплановане на 8 травня 2024 року відкриття для відвідувань громадянами Історико-культурного комплексу "Запорозька Січ", що вимушено був закритий майже 2,5 роки. Це стало можливим за активного сприяння Запорізької обласної державної адміністрації", – йдеться у повідомленні.

Відзначається, що Рада оборони Запорізької області, зважаючи на проведені заповідником заходи і розуміючи важливу мобілізуючу роль історико-культурної складової, дала дозвіл на відвідування туристичних об'єктів у північно-східній частині острова, зокрема Історико-культурного комплексу "Запорозька Січ".

В адміністрації додали, що т.в.о. міністра Ростислав Карандєєв підтримав відкриття екскурсійно-туристичної діяльності у заповіднику і відзначив його особливу роль, як одного із важливих центрів утвердження національної та громадянської ідентичності, як місце, що надихає наших воїнів та громадян до перемоги.
