Kosiv Museum of Folk Art has created an interactive exhibition

A new interactive exhibition of highly artistic wooden products will be presented on October 23 by the Kosiv Museum of Hutsul Region Folk Art and Life. It was created within the framework of the project "Interactive Museum of the Hutsul Region - popularization of the traditions of artistic woodworking by modernizing part of the exhibition of the Kosiv Museum of Hutsul Region Folk Art and Life," the museum administration reported on its official Facebook page.

The interactive hall will present the most interesting examples of artistic woodcarving, inlay and gilding from the museum's collections. Among them is a luxurious church chandelier-censer from Kosmach from the late 18th - early 19th centuries. For the first time, unique musical instruments will be exhibited - Hutsul flutes with carved lyrics of songs. They can be listened to by multi-instrumentalist musician, sopilka player of the Kazka band Dmytro Mazuryak, simply by scanning the QR code.

In addition to classic display cases, the exposition used the so-called hidden storage system. Visitors will be able to feel like researchers, looking into drawers and display cases where interesting artifacts are hidden.

"All equipment was designed individually, taking into account the space, the specifics of the exhibits and the museum building. Moving display cases, game tables, tactile zones, mechanical modules were created specifically for this project. The designer and furniture manufacturer had to literally invent individual technological solutions, because there were no analogues," - said the head of the museum Viktoria Yaremin in a comment to the "Reporter" publication.

Museum guests will also be able to virtually visit the workshops of a carver, cooper and inlay master. The screens will broadcast videos of the technological processes of artistic wood processing, which will help to feel the value of the exhibits in the display cases.

Another interesting feature is the zones for interacting with the exhibits. You will be able to hold cooper's utensils decorated with burning, feel the types of wood to the touch, play a game - find the names of the motifs of carving ornaments and much more interesting things. In this way, the updated exhibition will involve guests in active learning.

The project paid special attention to the topic of accessibility for people with visual impairments. A special guide in Braille has been developed for them. The exhibition is also equipped with tactile samples with typhoid descriptions. All texts were also created with an emphasis on accessibility, conciseness and multi-level presentation.

The project was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Charitable Foundation "MHP - to the Community".

Нову інтерактивну експозицію високохудожніх виробів із дерева представить 23 жовтня Косівський музей народного мистецтва та побуту Гуцульщини. Вона створена в межах проєкту "Інтерактивний музей Гуцульщини – популяризація традицій художньої обробки дерева шляхом модернізації частини експозиції Косівського музею народного мистецтва та побуту Гуцульщини", повідомляє адміністрація музею на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

В інтерактивній залі будуть представлені найцікавіші зразки художнього різьблення по дереву, інкрустації та боднарства з фондів музею. Серед них розкішна церковна люстра-панікадило з Космача кінця ХVIII – початку ХІХ століття. Вперше виставлять унікальні музичні інструменти – гуцульські флояри з вирізьбленими текстами співанок. Їх можна буде прослухати у виконанні музиканта-мультиінструменталіста, сопілкаря гурта Kazka Дмитра Мазуряка, просто відсканувавши QR-код.

Крім класичних вітрин, в експозиції застосували так звану систему прихованого зберігання. Відвідувачі зможуть відчути себе дослідниками, зазираючи у висувні шухляди та вітрини, де заховані цікаві артефакти.

"Усе обладнання проєктували індивідуально, враховуючи простір, специфіку експонатів і музейну будівлю. Рухомі вітрини, ігрові столи, тактильні зони, механічні модулі були створені спеціально для цього проєкту. Дизайнеру та виробнику меблів довелося буквально винаходити окремі технологічні рішення, бо аналогів не було", – розповіла завідувачка музею Вікторія Яремин в коментарі виданню "Репортер".

Також гості музею зможуть віртуально відвідати майстерні різьбяра, бондаря та майстра інкрустації. На екранах транслюватимуть відео технологічних процесів художньої обробки деревини, що допоможе відчути цінність експонатів у вітринах.

Ще одна цікавинка – зони для взаємодії з експонатами. Можна буде потримати в руках бондарний посуд, прикрашений випалюванням, відчути на доторк види деревини, пограти у гру – віднайти назви мотивів орнаментів різьби і ще багато цікавого. У такий спосіб оновлена експозиція залучатиме гостей до активного пізнання.

Особливої уваги в проєкті надано темі доступності для людей з порушеннями зору. Для них розроблено спеціальний путівник шрифтом Брайля. Експозиція оснащена тактильними зразками з тифлоописами. Усі супровідні тексти також створювалися з акцентом на доступність, стислість та багаторівневість подачі.

Проєкт реалізували за підтримки Українського культурного фонду та Благодійного фонду "МХП – громаді".
