For the price of two museums, a tourist will be able to visit three institutions at once: the Uzhgorod Castle, the Museum of Folk Architecture and the Art Museum.
The system of a single ticket was introduced in three main Transcarpathian regional museums. The "Single Ticket" project will help tourists to get a holistic view of the history, traditions and culture of Transcarpathia, as well as save money, reports the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration.
A single ticket worth 230 hryvnias gives you the opportunity to visit the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Local Lore in the Uzhhorod Castle, the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life (Uzhhorod Skansen) and the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum. Since UAH 230 is the price of two regular museum tickets, the owner of the "Single Ticket" receives a visit to the third museum as a gift.
"Tourists most often visit the Uzhgorod Castle and the nearby Uzhgorod open-air museum, while not everyone includes the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after Josyp Bokshay, located more distantly, in their tourist itinerary. Now the tourist will receive complete information about the three regional museums, their contacts and work schedules in the ticket. In addition, the visitor will be able to devote enough attention to each museum, since the ticket is detachable, and the institutions can be visited on different days. The validity of the ticket is unlimited," the authors of the project explain.
The first edition of the "Single Ticket" is 1000 units, which will be available from Monday, June 17. They can be purchased in tourist shops, cafes, hotels and other institutions and organizations that work with tourists. In addition, in the near future they plan to organize the possibility of purchasing the "Single ticket" online and then obtaining it at the issuing points.
