General information about Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Zhvanets)
The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1699. Armenians who moved to Zhvanets after the expulsion of the Turks from Podillya.
Almost a century later, when the Armenians left the city, the building was rebuilt into an impressive baroque Catholic church.
In Soviet times, a factory was located here.
Today, the temple is gradually being restored, and worship has been resumed.
Костел Непорочного Зачаття Пресвятої Діви Марії збудували в 1699 році. вірмени, що переселилися до Жванця після вигнання турків з Поділля.
Майже через століття, коли вірмени пішли з міста, будівлю було перебудовано на вражаючий католицький костел у стилі бароко.
За радянських часів тут розташовувалася фабрика.
Нині храм поступово реставрується, відновлено богослужіння.
