The church was moved to Cherhanivka in 1811 from the village of Krasnoillia. A two-story stone bell tower is nearby.

Церкву перевезено до Черганівки в 1811 році з села Красноїлля. Поруч двоярусна кам'яна дзвіниця.

За радянських часів у приміщенні був Музей природи Карпат. Наразі храм діючий, належить Православній церкві України.
