General information about Goering Headquarters "Steinbruch" (Hulivtsi)
The "Steinbruch" Headquarters of the commander-in-chief of the German Air Force, Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering during the Second World War.
It was located 5 kilometers northeast of Kalynivka, next to the military airfield in Hulivtsi.
The construction of the Goering Headquarters began in 1941 at the same time as the Hitler and Himmler Headquarters located nearby. The complex consisted of two underground bunkers connected by a tunnel, a guard barracks, a dining room and several utility rooms. Since Goering was rarely here, the Headquarters was mostly used as a Luftwaffe command post.
In 1944, before the retreat, the Germans blew up the bunkers. Impressive ruins have been preserved.
Ставка "Штайнбрух" (Steinbruch - каменоломня) головнокомандувача військово-повітряних сил Німеччини, рейхсмаршала Германа Герінга часів Другої світової війни.
Розташовувалася за 5 кілометрів на північний схід від Калинівки, поряд з військовим аеродромом у Гулівцях.
Будівництво ставки Герінга почалося в 1941 році одночасно зі ставками Гітлера і Гіммлера, що розташовувалися неподалік. Комплекс складався з двох підземних бункерів, з'єднаних між собою тунелем, казарми для охорони, їдальні та кількох підсобних приміщень. Оскільки Герінг бував тут рідко, переважно ставка використовувалася як командний пункт "Люфтваффе".
В 1944 році перед відступом німці підірвали бункери. Збереглися вражаючі уламки.
