General information about New Synagogue (Vasylkiv)
The ancient building in the Art Nouveau style at the corner of Soborna and Pokrovska in the center of Vasylkov was built at the end of the 19th century.
In various sources, it is called a new synagogue or a Jewish school. In old photos above the building you can see two domes with attics, which are now missing.
Since 1944, a high school has been located here - now Vasylkiv Lyceum No. 2.
Старовинну будівлю в стилі модерн на розі Соборної та Покровської у центрі Василькова зведено у наприкінці ХІХ сторіччя.
У різних джерелах її називають новою синагогою або єврейською школою. На старих світлинах над будівлею можна побачити два куполи з аттиками, які тепер відсутні.
З 1944 року тут розмістилася середня школа – нині Васильківський ліцей №2.
