General information about Cossack Becket (Vasylivka)
The reconstructed Cossack becket is located on a hill above Samara near the village of Vasylivka.
Cossack observation posts in the form of wooden towers, from which observers controlled the surrounding steppes, were called bekets. Beckets also served as signal baths - in case of danger, signal fires were lit on them.
A beautiful view of the Samara forest opens from the becket near Vasylivka. A wooden cross is installed nearby.
Реконструйований козацький бекет розташований на пагорбі над Самарою поряд із селом Василівка.
Бекетами називали козацькі наглядові пункти у вигляді дерев'яних вишок, з яких спостерігачі контролювали навколишні степи. Також бекети служили сигнальними банями – у разі небезпеки на них розводили сигнальні багаття.
З бекету під Василівкою відкривається чудовий краєвид на Самарський ліс. Поруч встановлений дерев'яний хрест.
