General information about Yan Nepomuk Church (Nativity of Holy Virgin Church) (Mizoch)
The Church of Saint Yan Nepomuk in Mizoch stands on the site of a destroyed Cossack temple.
The Empire style building was started by General Kshyshtof Dunin-Karvytskyi in 1795 and finished by his son Kazymyr after 1830.
After 1945, the church was divided in the middle into two parts by beams. There was a library downstairs, and a movie theater upstairs.
In the dungeons of the church, representatives of the Dunin-Karvytsky family were buried, as well as Princess Yadviha Lyubomyrska.
Today it is the Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The interior decoration in the original style has not been preserved.
Костел Святого Яна Непомука у Мізочі стоїть на місці зруйнованого козацького храму.
Будівлю у стилі ампір почав будувати генерал Кшиштоф Дунін-Карвицького у 1795 році, а закінчив його син Казимир після 1830 року.
Після 1945 році костел був розділений у середині на дві частини балками. Внизу була бібліотека, а зверху знаходився кінотеатр.
У підземеллях костелу було поховано представників роду Дуніних-Карвицьких, а також князівну Ядвігу Любомирську.
Нині це православна церква Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці Православної церкви України. Внутрішнє оздоблення у первісному стилі не збереглося.
