The Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin Mary in Zhovkva was founded in 1705 at the expense of priest Yosyf Kyrnytskyi.

Церква Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці у Жовкві заснована у 1705 році коштом священика Йосифа Кирницького.

Церква дерев'яна одноповерхова. Характерна для українського села XVIII сторіччя. Іконостас церкви створений у 1708 році місцевим столяром Кунашем та місцевим художником.

У 1994 році церкву відновлено завдяки старанням отців монастиря Василіян. Львівськими художниками-реставраторами у 1996 році відреставровано церковний іконостас.
