Pidhora Monastery-Fortress of Saint Basil the Great, Pidhora

The monastery is located on the southern outskirts of Terebovlia, on a high hill in the suburb of Pidhora. Known since the 17th century.

The defensive monastery of the Basilian order was surrounded by a stone wall with four corner towers, three of which have been preserved. There was also a three-tiered tower over the gate. Adjacent to the entrance gate is a one-story monastery building with a church attached to it.

The Pidhora monastery ceased to exist in 1789. The monastery church was used as a parish church for some time. During the First World War, the church was destroyed, and the monastery complex has been deteriorating ever since.

Підгорянський монастир розташований на південній околиці Теребовлі, на високому пагорбі у передмісті Підгора. Відомий із XVII сторіччя.

Оборонний монастир ордена василіан був оточений кам'яною стіною із чотирма кутовими вежами, три з яких збереглися. Також була триярусна надбрамна вежа. До в'їзної брами примикає одноповерховий монастирський будинок із прибудованою до нього церквою.

Підгорянський монастир припинив існування в 1789 році. Монастирський храм деякий час використовувався як парафіяльна церква. Під час Першої світової війни церкву було зруйновано, монастирський комплекс з тих пір все сильніше занепадав.
