In August 1941, the garrison of Pillbox 205 from the 28th separate machine-gun battalion under the command of Lieutenant Heorhiy Vyetrov , contrary to the order, refused to leave the combat positions and fought heroically with the Germans for 10 days in complete encirclement, independently extracting ammunition and food during eye raids. It was later unblocked by Soviet troops and the garrison nevertheless retreated.

Pillbox 205 was cleared by the forces of the Kyiv "Search" club, it is planned to be included in the "Defense of Kyiv - Belt of Glory" museum complex.

Ця побудована за індивідуальним проєктом шестиамбразурна кулеметна мінна група вважається найпотужнішою і найнеприступнішою спорудою всього укріпрайону. 5 казематів з'єднувалися між собою підземними ходами протяжністю 375 метрів.

У серпні 1941 року гарнізон ДОТу 205 зі складу 28-го окремого кулеметного батальйону під командуванням лейтенента Георгія Вєтрова, всупереч наказу, відмовився залишити бойові позиції і 10 днів героїчно бився з німцями в повному оточенні, самостійно видобуваючи боєприпаси та продовольство під час очних вилазок. Пізніше був деблокований радянськими військами і гарнізон все ж таки відступив.
