General information about Lutheran Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (Zmiivka)
The Lutheran Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was built in Zmiivka in 1884 by German immigrants on the high peninsula above the Dnipro.
During the Soviet rule, the kirkh was closed, German settlers were deported to Germany and camps in Siberia.
Today, the former German church of Saints Peter and Paul has been restored. 60 representatives of the German community live in Zmiivka, who conduct services and take care of the church. The service here is conducted mainly in German.
Лютеранська кірха Святих апостолів Петра і Павла збудована в Зміївці в 1884 році німецькими переселенцями на високому півострові над Дніпром.
За радянської влади кірха була закрита, німецькі поселенці депортовані до Німеччини та таборів Сибиру.
Нині колишня німецька кірха святих Петра і Павла відреставрована. В Зміївці проживають 60 представників німецької громади, які проводять богослужіння й доглядають за храмом. Служба тут ведеться переважно німецькою мовою.
