General information about Kyiv Academic Puppet Theater (Kyiv)
The incredibly beautiful building of the Kyiv Puppet Theater in the shape of a fairy-tale castle is located in Khreshchaty Park near the European Square.
The Puppet Theater was founded in Kyiv in 1927, until now it occupied several different premises. The current building was built according to the original project of the architect Vitaly Yudin in 2005 on the site of the children's stereo cinema "Dnipro". 2 auditoriums: large (300 seats) and small (110 seats), there is also a "Throne Hall" and an aquarium with rare sea creatures.
There is an exhibition-museum of dolls at the theater. Excursions "Getting to know the puppet theater" are conducted (by prior order).
Nearby is the light and music fountain "Thumbnail".
Неймовірно красива будівля Київського лялькового театру в формі казкового замку знаходиться у Хрещатому парку біля Європейської площі.
Театр ляльок було засновано в Києві в 1927 році, дотепер займав кілька різних приміщень. Нинішня будівля збудована за оригінальним проєктом архітектора Віталія Юдіна в 2005 році на місці дитячого стереокінотеатру "Дніпро". 2 глядацькі зали: велика (300 місць) і мала (110 місць), також є "Тронний зал" і акваріум з рідкісними морськими мешканцями.
При ляльковому театрі працює виставка-музей ляльок. Проводяться екскурсії "Знайомство з театром ляльок" (за попереднім замовленням).
Поруч з театром знаходиться світломузичний фонтан "Дюймовочка".
