The Museum of Precious and Decorative Stones in Khoroshiv was created in 1996 on the basis of the collection of minerals and rocks of the local enterprise "Kvartssamotsvity", which has been engaged in industrial quartz mining in Khoroshiv since the 1930s.

The museum collects unique minerals from Volyn chamber pegmatites, samples of minerals and rocks from Ukraine, CIS countries, Europe, America, Africa. In total, there are 1.7 thousand exhibits. In particular, unique crystals of quartz, topaz and beryl from the Volyn Morion deposit are presented.

In 2001, the museum was granted the status of "Scientific object, which is the national property of Ukraine".

Музей коштовного та декоративного каміння в Хорошові створено в 1996 році на основі колекції мінералів і гірських порід місцевого підприємства "Кварцсамоцвіти", яке з 1930-х років веде в Хорошові промисловий видобуток кварцу.

В музеї зібрано унікальні мінерали з камерних пегматитів Волині, зразки мінералів та гірських порід з України, країн СНД, Європи, Америки, Африки. Загалом – 1,7 тисячі експонатів. Зокрема, представлені унікальні кристали кварцу, топазу та берилу з Волинського родовища моріону.

В 2001 році музею надано статус "Науковий об'єкт, який є національним надбанням України".
