Buffalo Farm "Saldobosh"

The Saldobosh Buffalo Farm in Steblivka near Khust was established by the "Association for the Preservation of Agro-Biodiversity of the Carpathian Mountains" at the initiative of Mishel Yakobi to preserve the population of Carpathian buffaloes, which are on the verge of extinction.

In addition to more than 30 buffaloes, the farm is home to Hutsul horses of the old Hutan breed, as well as Carpathian pigs bred from the rare Manhalitsya breed.

To support the breeding activities of these rare species, the association promotes and sells products obtained from buffaloes - milk and cheese. Tours of the farm, tasting of cheeses and other products, horseback riding, and entertainment with buffaloes are held.
