Haisyn district (Haisynskyi) is located in the south-eastern part of Vinnytsia region, on the territory of historical Podillya. The Southern Buh River flows within the district.
There are several abandoned mansions in the area. There is a museum of composer Mykola Leontovych, the author of the world-famous melody "Shchedryk".
The administrative center of Haisynskyi district is the city of Haisyn. The area of the district is 5675 square kilometers. The population of the district exceeds 240 thousand people.
