Chetvertynivka

The village of Chetvertynivka on the Batih River is located 15 kilometers northeast of Trostianets.

It has been known since the 16th century as the property of Chetvertynskyi princes. In 1652, at the foot of Mount Batih, not far from the village, the Battle of Batih took place between the troops of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi and the Polish army of the Polish Hetman of the Crown Martyn Kalinovskyi, in which the Cossacks won a brilliant victory. At the site of the battle, Bohdanov's well was preserved, a memorial sign was erected, and the museum of the Battle of Batih was opened.

In the 19th century, Chetvertynivka belonged to the landowner Sabansky, then it became state property.
