Ponyzivka

The resort village of Ponyzivka is located on the shore of the Black Sea between Simeiz and Foros, on the territory of Great Yalta. The village is surrounded by three capes: Kikeneiza, Uzuna and Troitsi. It is protected from the cold northern winds by the main ridge of the Crimean Mountains.

In ancient times, there was a Tavr settlement on the site of Ponyzivka, as evidenced by dolmens and burial mounds. In the 8th-10th centuries, there was a fortified Kuchuk-Isar monastery on the Trinity Cape. After the conquest of Crimea by the Russian Empire, General Theodosius Revelioti, who received these lands for his service, built the "Holy Trinity" dacha in 1830. The beaches in Ponyzivka are pebbly, clean, and sparsely populated.

Нащадки генерала розпродали маєток по частинах, і до початку XX століття тут вже велася планомірна забудова. На території колишнього маєтку Ревеліоті зараз розташований санаторій "Понизівка".
