Svalovychi

The village of Svalovychi is located in a remote place in the middle of deaf Polish swamps and forests on the banks of the Pripyat River at the confluence of the Stokhid River, not far from the Belarusian border.

Belongs to disappearing settlements - the population today is less than 30 people. In ancient times, Svalovychi belonged to the Pinsk princes, later it was a royal village, and in 1702 it became the property of the Pinsk horn Korzhenevskyi. Later they belonged to Charnotskyi. In 1796, the village became a part of Lyubeshiv Volost, Pinsk District, Minsk Province.

During the Second World War, the village was burned by the Nazis, but it was revived in the authentic wooden style of the 19th century, thanks to which it now resembles a living museum of Polish architecture ...

In ancient times, Svalovychi belonged to the Pinsk princes, later it was a royal village, and in 1702 it became the property of the Pinsk horn Korzhenevskyi. Later they belonged to Charnotskyi. In 1796, the village became a part of Lyubeshiv Volost, Pinsk District, Minsk Province.

During the Second World War, the village was burned by the Nazis, but it was revived in the authentic wooden style of the 19th century, thanks to which it now resembles a living museum of Polish architecture and life: all the houses are built of logs, the roofs are covered with reeds. A variety of folk crafts, including wickerwork, embroidery, and weaving, have historical and cultural value. In the village, they produce home-spun linen, weave towels, and embroider pictures.

10 kilometers of gravel road leads to the village, the streets of the village itself are sandy. On the territory of the village there is a department of the National Park "Prypyat-Stokhid", where you can get information about the local flora and fauna. The view of Pripyat opens from a 10-meter observation tower.

Відноситься до зникаючих населених пунктів - чисельність населення сьогодні становить менше 30 осіб. У давнину Сваловичі належали пінським князям, пізніше були королівським селом, а в 1702 році стали власністю пінського хорунжого Корженевського. Пізніше належали Чарноцьким. В 1796 році село увійшло до складу Любешівської волості Пінського повіту Мінської губернії.

До села веде 10 кілометрів гравійної дороги, вулиці самого села піщані. На території села знаходиться відділ Національного парку "Прип'ять-Стохід", де можна отримати інформацію про місцеву флору та фауну. Вид на Прип'ять відкривається з 10-метрової оглядової вежі.
