The city of Mala Vyska on the Mala Vys River is located 60 kilometers northwest of Kropyvnytskyi, 10 kilometers from the M-12 highway.
In ancient times, there was a Cossack village at this place. The current city was founded in 1752 as a settlement of Vys by a group of Moldavian immigrants (one of the districts of the city is still called Bessarabia). At the beginning of the 19th century, these lands became the property of Prince Kudashiv, who named his estate Kudashivka, but the new name did not catch on, and the next owner, Ulashyn, renamed it Mala Vyska.

Місто Мала Виска на річці Мала Вись розташоване в 60 кілометрах на північний захід від Кропивницького, в 10 кілометрах від траси М-12.
В давнину на цьому місці існував козацький хутір. Нинішнє місто засноване в 1752 році як слобода Вись групою молдавських переселенців (до сих пір один з районів міста називається Бессарабія). На початку XIX століття ці землі перейшли у власність князя Кудашева, який назвав свій маєток Кудашівка, однак нова назва не прижилася, і наступний власник Улашин перейменував його на Малу Виску.

The palace of Princess Kudasheva is one of the few architectural monuments of Mala Vyska. The two-story building with a one-story side gallery was built in 1889.
Today, the Mala Vyska station of young technicians is located in the former palace of Kudasheva.
Malovyskivshchyna History Museum named after Oleksandr Kovtun

The Malovyskivshchyna History Museum named after Oleksandr Kovtun was opened in 1979 in the premises of the House of Culture of the Mala Vyska city. The founder and first director of the museum was the famous teacher and local historian Oleksandr Kovtun.
The museum exposition includes about 9,000 exhibits of the main and research and auxiliary funds. All of them reveal the history of Malovyskivshchyna from ancient times to the present.
A separate exposition is devoted to the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Its central exhibit is the same ceramic cockerel produced by the Vasylkiv majolica factory, which became a symbol of Ukrainian resilience thanks to photographs of Borodianka, destroyed by the occupiers.
