Pidhaichyky

The village of Pidhaichyky is located on the M-09 "Lviv - Ternopil" highway, 30 kilometers east of Lviv. Administratively, it is a part of Hlyniany city hromada of Lviv district, Lviv region.

For the first time, Pidhaichyky is mentioned in 1397 in the documents of the Hlyniany court, although the official date of foundation is considered to be 1488.

The wooden Church of the Intercession of the Virgin was built in 1756. According to legend, the temple was built in the Carpathians and later moved to Pidhaichyky.

At the end of the 18th century, 30 families of German colonists from the North Palatinate region (Rhine River valley) settled in Pidhaichyky, founding the Unterwalden colony here. The neo-Gothic kirkh erected by them has been rebuilt into the Orthodox C ...

In the part of the village of Dvoryshche is the chapel of the Transfer of the relics of Saint Nicholas, built in 1913. In 2018, a memorial was opened in the yard of the building where three UPA soldiers died in a battle with the Soviet invaders in 1947.

The museum and cultural center "Na Unterwaliu" operates in the village, which tells about the life of a multicultural Galician village until 1939.

Село Підгайчики розташоване на трасі М-09 "Львів – Тернопіль" за 30 кілометрів на схід від Львова. Адміністративно входить до складу Глинянської міської громади Львівського району Львівської області.

Дерев'яна церква Покрови Богородиці зведена в 1756 році. За переказами храм було збудовано в Карпатах і згодом перевезено до Підгайчиків.

Наприкінці XVIII століття у Підгайчиках оселилися 30 родин німецьких колоністів з регіону Північний Пфальц (долина річки Рейн), заснувавши тут колонію Унтервальден. Зведена ними неоготична кірха в наш час була перебудована на православну церкву Введення в Храм Пресвятої Богородиці.

У частині села Дворищі знаходиться каплиця Перенесення мощей святого Миколая, збудована у 1913 році. У дворі будинку, в якому в 1947 році в бою з радянськими окупантами загинули троє бійців УПА, у 2018 році відкрито меморіал.

В селі діє Музейно-культурний центр "На Унтервалю", який розповідає про життя мультикультурного галицького села до 1939 року.
