Yasinia

Yasinia ski resort is located on the Rakhiv-Yaremcha route, between the Svidovets and Chornohirsky ridges. One of the routes to Hoverla and Mount Petros starts from here.

Yasinia was mentioned for the first time in 1505. The village was founded by natives of the Galician Hutsul region. The legend connects its foundation with the story of the miraculous salvation of the flock of the shepherd Ivan Struk, who was forced to abandon his sheep in the mountains in the winter, and in the spring found them whole and with offspring. At this place, he built a wooden chapel and his own house made of ash, which is where the name came from.

The wooden Strukiv (Voznesenska) church (1824), named after the shepherd Ivan Struk, has been preserved.

There are two ski lifts in the village: 500 meters and 1000 meters. The village also serves as a transfer point for those coming to the ski resort of Drahobrat, located 18 kilometers from here (in winter, the ascent is possible only on utilitarian off-road vehicles).
