The village of Illintsi is located in the valley of the Prut River, 20 kilometers southeast of Kolomyia. Administratively, it is part of the Kolomyya district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In documents, Illintsy was first mentioned in 1453 as Halnyche. The Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah, known since 1845, has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt.
On the edge of the village in the Khomiv tract, archaeological finds of three different cultures were discovered: the people of Trypillya, the people of Holihrad, and the Thracians. The botanical reserve of local significance of Khomiv is located here.
