The picturesque village of Stopchativ is located next to Yabluniv, 16 kilometers from Kosiv. Founded in 1416 (according to other sources - in 1515).
In the 17th century, it belonged to Macei Yablunivsky. In 1749, the estate was destroyed by a detachment of rebels of Vasyl Bayurak.
The remains of the castle have been preserved in the "Fabryka" tract. The Church of Saint Nicholas was restored in the 1990s on the site of a burned down wooden church of the 19th century.
