The village of Novoselytsia on the Rybnytsia River is located between Sniatyn and Kosiv. Administratively, it is part of the Kolomyia district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In various sources, 1537 and 1570 are indicated as the dates of the foundation of the village.
The wooden Saint Nicolas Church of the Hutsul type was built in 1854.
In 1950, the outstanding Ukrainian photo artist Vasyl Pilypyuk was born in the village of Novoselytsia (a museum was opened).
Cело Новоселиця на річці Рибниця розташоване між Снятином і Косовом. Адміністративно входить до складу Коломийського району Івано-Франківської області.
В різних джерелах датами заснування села вказуються 1537 та 1570 роки.
Дерев'яна Миколаївська церква гуцульського типу збудована у 1854 році.
У 1950 році в селі Новоселиця народився видатний український фотохудожник Василь Пилип'юк (відкрито музей).

The Sniatyn District Vasyl Pylypyuk's Creativity Museum was created in 2016 in his native village of Novoselytsia.
An outstanding Ukrainian photo artist, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, Honored Worker of the Arts of Ukraine, Vasyl Pylypyuk was born in Novoselytsia in 1950. His works were exhibited at more than 100 national and international exhibitions.
A significant number of works by the world-famous Carpathian photo artist are currently on display at the Vasyl Pylypyuk Art Museum in Novoselytsia.
