Parafiivka

The village of Parafiivka is located in the upper reaches of the Smosh River, 20 kilometers east of Ichnia.

It was mentioned for the first time in the census of 1666. The development began in 1845, when landowner Hryhoriy Tarnovskyi from nearby Kachanivka built a sugar factory in Parafiivka.

In 1897, the factory and the surrounding land became the property of the sugar factory Kharytonenko. At the same time, social infrastructure began to develop in the village: zemstvo school, library, hospital. A 20-kilometer railway line was laid.

Now Parafiivka is one of the most promising settlements of Chernihiv Region. In the village there is a cascade of ponds, which downstream of the Smosha flow into Kacha ...

В 1897 році завод і навколишні землі перейшли у власність цукрозаводчика Харитоненка. Тоді ж в селі почала розвиватися соціальна інфраструктура: земська школа, бібліотека, лікарня. Була прокладена 20-кілометрова залізнична гілка.
