Museum / gallery
The Valiava Museum of Village History was opened in 1985 on the initiative of the writer Vasyl Kishkan. The museum is located on the second floor of the administrative building, next to the school.
The exposition of the first hall of the museum highlights the most ancient times in the history of the village of Valiava. The materials of the second hall are dedicated to the daily life of the local population - tools, everyday and festive clothes are presented. Separate materials tell about the construction of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village (1778).
The third hall tells about the events of World War II, on the fronts of which 123 villagers died. The exposition of the fourth hall is dedicated to the post-war period, the development of the village in 1970-1980.
Separately, materials are presented about the school principal, the founder of the museum Vasyl Kishkan (1929-1992) and his novels "Black Crows" and "Cold Winds".
