In 2015, a museum room dedicated to the work of People's Artist of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Nina Matviyenko, who was born in 1968 in the village of Nedilishche near Yemilchyne, was opened.

Yevropeyska Square

Historic area

The Central Yevropeyska (European) Square of Berdychiv in front of the Berdychiv City Council building was opened in 1977 after the completion of the building that housed the city CPSU and the City Executive Committee in Soviet times. Initially, the square was called Zhovtneva.

Recently, the architecturally boring square has been enlivened by original city sculptures: a monument to Berdychiv beer, a monument to a Berdychiv costume, a Berdychiv globe of the world, etc.

Zlotnytskyi Manor

Palace / manor

The manor in Ruzhyn was built in the 19th century by the landowner Chelishchev. In 1856, it was bought from the hammer by landowner Antoniy Zlotnytskyi.

The palace was characterized by contemporaries as magnificent, but now its appearance is greatly spoiled by later reconstructions.

On the territory of the Zlotnytsky manor is the board of the Ruzhyn agricultural cooperative.

According to legend, the manor house is connected to the church by an underground passage.

Zviahel Local Lore Museum

Museum / gallery , Architecture

The Zviahel Local Lore Museum was created on the basis of the Museum of Military Glory, which has been operating since 1975, in two halls of the Lesya Ukrainka City Palace of Culture. In 2018, the Zviahel Local Lore Museum received a new separate building.

The museum's collections include about three and a half thousand exhibits of the main collection and almost one thousand exhibits of the auxiliary collection.

A separate section is devoted to the history of ancient Zviahel in the 13th-18th centuries. The museum stores a rich collection of written documents and ancient books. The basis of the numismatic collection is Roman coins, money from the Cossack era, and royal coins.

The ethnographic department of the museum presents a collection of towels, embroidery, and household items of the Polissya region.

A separate section presents the construction of Novohrad-Volynskiy fortified area No. 7, which stretched for 120 kilometers and was built in the 1930s. In 2014, work began on the museumization of the armored cap and half-caponier. These are unique objects of the fortification heritage of the first half of the 20th century, on the basis of which it is planned to create a branch of the open-air museum.

The Museum of Flax operates at the local history museum - an exhibition of flax products of the 19th-20th centuries. Here you can learn everything about flax from seeds to looms, the development of flax growing, the manufacture of fabrics and the tools of our ancestors.
