Mykulyntsi received its current name in the 14th century as part of Poland. To protect against Tatar attacks, in 1550, Countess Anna Yordanova from the Senyavskyi family, who owned the city, built a castle, fragments of which have survived to this day. Later, it became the property of the Konetspolskis, then the Mnisheks, then the Potocki.
The Potocki Palace (XVIII century), rebuilt later by Baron Yan Konopka, has been preserved. A healing mineral spring was discovered near Konopka, near Mykulyntsi, and the first balneological resort in Nadzbruchya was opened, where the nobility was treated.
The last owners of Mykulyntsi were representatives of the Ray count family. Live unpasteurized beer "Mykulynetske" produced by the local brewery "Brovar", founded by Count Mechyslav Ray in 1885, is popular.

Brewery "Mykulinetsky Brovar"
Gastrotourism , Winery / brewery
Brewery "Mykulinetsky Brovar" in Mykulyntsi is considered one of the oldest breweries in Ukraine.
The date "1457" is indicated on the labels of the signature beer "Mykulyn", to which the first mention of the brewery in Mykulyntsi is attributed - in the description of the military campaign of the Polish king Yan Olbracht to the Moldavian principality, but in fact this campaign took place 40 years later.
The first documentary mention of Mykulyntsi beer is found in Austrian sources in 1698. Industrial production of beer was organized in Mykulyntsi by Count Mechyslav Rey in 1885, establishing the production of three varieties: "Lezhak", "Firmove" and "Bik".
In 1939, the plant was nationalized, during Soviet times they produced "Zhygulyvske", "Ukrainian" and "Ryzhke" beers, then "Double Golden" and "Berezneve" appeared.
In 1995, "Mykulinetsky Brovar" LLC was established on the basis of the plant. Currently, the assortment includes about a dozen varieties of live unpasteurized beer, including premium-class ones.

Holy Trinity Church
Temple , Architecture
The Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in the late Baroque style is located opposite the Potocki Palace in Mykulyntsi and is connected to it by a maple avenue.
It was built in 1761-1779 according to the project of architect Avgust Moshynsky at the expense of Countess Lyudovika Potoska. The church of the Hofkirche royal palace in Dresden, Germany, where the architect studied, served as a model.
The decor of the temple and its elegant forms perfectly harmonize with the central facade of the palace and organically close the perspectives of the regular part of the park.
The original interior has not been preserved, because during the Soviet times the premises were used for economic purposes.
Today, the Trinity Church is active and belongs to the Mykulyntsi Catholic community. Next to the church is an old Polish cemetery with the graves of members of the Count family of Ray.
Mykulyntsi Castle
Castle / fortress
The castle in Mykulyntsi is known as the only residential medieval castle in Ukraine.
The first wooden fortifications on the hill near the Seret River existed here even in princely times. The stone castle was built in 1550-1555 by the mistress of the Mykulyntsi, Anna Yordan (Yordanova) from the Senyavsky family, the wife of Spytko Yordan, the castellan of Kraków. Later, the Mykulyntsi Castle belonged to the Zborovsky and Konetspolsky magnates.
After being damaged during the Liberation War of 1648-1657, the castle was improved and expanded. In 1672, the fortress was taken by the Turks after a 15-day siege. Then they destroyed the entire male population of Mykulyntsi.
Later, the fortress belonged to the Lyubomyrsky, Mnishek, and Potocki. It was then that it lost its defensive significance, and the palace built next to it began to perform representative functions. In the 19th century, Baron Yan Konopka converted it into a cloth factory.
The building is quadrangular in plan, two of the four corner towers have been preserved. Around the perimeter of the inner yard were built residential and commercial buildings, some of which have also been preserved.
At the beginning of the 20th century, when Mykulyntsi belonged to Countess Yuzefa Rey, her beloved servant Anna settled in the castle. She continued to live there even after the arrival of Soviet power, when the countess died and her son died. Currently, the housekeeper's daughter Stefaniya Baloy remains the owner of the residential premises of the architectural monument.
Mykulyntsi Castle is part of the Ternopil Castles National Reserve, but access to the territory is closed.
Potocki Palace
Palace / manor , Architecture
The palace and park complex in Mykulyntsi is one of the few examples of Empire style palace architecture preserved in Ukraine.
The palace was founded next to the Mykulyntsi Castle by Lyudvika Potoska in the 1760s. From the original building in the Palladian style (early classicism), the original wings have been preserved, connected to the palace by semicircular galleries.
In the middle of the 19th century, Baron Yan Konopka decided to create a balneological resort at the springs of hydrogen sulphide waters in Mykulyntsi. He thoroughly rebuilt the palace, giving it stricter features of late classicism (empire). The park facade of the building is decorated with an eight-pillar portico of the Corinthian order. From here, the landscape park descends steeply to the river, and the ruins of the castle adjoin it to the left. The front part of the palace is highlighted by a risalite with four wooden sculptures of Atlanteans and opens onto a regular parterre.
The last owner of the Mykulyntsi Palace was Countess Yuzefa Rey.
Currently, the Mykulyntsi Regional Physiotherapy Hospital is located here.
