Rukomysh

The picturesque village of Rukomysh is located on the rocky shore of the Strypa River near Buchach, near the bypass road.

It was mentioned for the first time in historical documents in the 14th century, however, according to legend, as early as the 13th century, monks who escaped from Kyiv, which had been ravaged by hordes, settled here. They founded a rock monastery in the natural caves of the travertine rock near two springs. The rock is located on the high right bank of Strypa, its length is 120 meters, height 15-20 meters. It is a deposit of the precious travertine stone.

Є родовищем цінного каменю травертину.
