Novi Bezradychi

The village of Novi Bezradychi near Kyiv is widely known in Ukraine as the residence of the third President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko. The village is located 30 km south of Kyiv on the Novoobukhivsky highway, under Mount Strelytsya.

Known since the 18th century, it belonged to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, later it went to the treasury. In 1727, a large wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin was built, reconstructed in 1850, destroyed during the Soviet regime.

In the 1990s, Viktor Yushchenko settled in Novi Bezradychi, while serving as the chairman of the National Bank. After winning the 2004 presidential election, he significantly expanded his estate. Some associates of Yushchenko built their houses nearby.

Відоме з XVIII сторіччя, належало Києво-Печерській лаврі, пізніше відійшло до казни. В 1727 році була побудована велика дерев'яна церква Різдва Богородиці, реконструйована в 1850 році, знищена за радянської влади.

В 1990-х роках, перебуваючи на посаді голови Нацбанку, в Нових Безрадичах оселився Віктор Ющенко. Після перемоги на президентських виборах 2004 року він значно розширив свою садибу. Неподалік звели свої будинки деякі соратники Ющенка.
