Kozyn

The elite village of Kozyn near Kyiv is located at the confluence of the river Kozynka to the Dnipro. It is surrounded by a pine forest on the north, south and west sides, in which, according to legend, wild goats roamed long ago, hence the name of the village.

Kozyn has been known since the 11th century as a hamlet that belonged to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. For many centuries, the main activity of local residents was fishing.

In the second half of the 20th century, Kozyn became a resort village. In the second half of the 20th century, Kozyn became a resort village. The beauty of the local natural landscape, ecological cleanliness and proximity to Kyiv attracted representatives of the Ukrainian financial, industrial and political elite here. Cottage towns "Zoloti Vorota", "Sosnovy Bir", "Romanovo", etc. in the protected pine forest, on the banks of the river and numerous canals impress with incredible luxury and variety of architectural forms of private estates. You can see some of them from the dam between Kozynka and Dnipro.
