Pidvysoke

The village of Pidvyske on the Bondarka River is located 45 kilometers southeast of Uman. Administratively, it is part of the Holovanivsk district of the Kirovohrad region.

The origin of the village dates back to the 1830s of the 18th century, but it first appears in documents during the second inventory census of 1771. It is known about the participation of residents in the Haydamak movement.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the village belonged to the estates of the Counts of Potocki. In 1866, Pidvyske became the parish center of the Uman district of the Kyiv province, for some time it was the district center.

Виникнення села належить до 30-х років XVIII століття, проте в документах воно вперше зустрічається під час другого інвентарного перепису 1771 року. Відомо про участь мешканців у гайдамацькому русі.

У XVIII-XIX століттях село належало до маєтностей графів Потоцьких. У 1866 році Підвисоке стало волосним центром Уманського повіту Київської губернії, певний час було районним центром.

Під час Другої світової війни в серпні 1941 року село було епіцентром протистояння радянських та німецьких військ у битві під Уманню, в селі містилися штаби оточених армій та корпусів.
