Pobuzke

The industrial settlement Pobuzke arose in 1961 during the construction of the Pobuzske ferronickel plant.

The large-scale construction project was at the same time a cover for the deployment in the vicinity of the village of the starting positions of the 309th regiment of the 46th missile division of the Strategic Missile Forces. The division remained on alert until 1994, when the Ukrainian leadership decided to abandon nuclear weapons. Within 5 years, all launch silos for intercontinental missiles on the territory of the country were eliminated.

On the basis of the only surviving starting position near Pobuzke, the Strategic Missile Forces Museum was opened in 2001.

Промислове селище Побузьке виникло в 1961 році при будівництві Побузького феронікелевого комбінату.

Масштабне будівництво одночасно було прикриттям для розгортання в околицях селища стартових позицій 309-го полку 46 ракетної дивізії Ракетних військ стратегічного призначення. На бойовому чергуванні дивізія залишалася до 1994 року, коли українське керівництво прийняло рішення про відмову від ядерної зброї. Протягом 5 років були ліквідовані всі пускові шахти міжконтинентальних ракет на території країни.

На базі єдиної збереженої стартової позиції поряд з Побузьким в 2001 році був відкритий музей РВСП.
