Chornobyl

The city of Chornobyl, known since the times of Ancient Rus, has become a household name for the whole world as a result of the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and has ended up in a 30-kilometer exclusion zone.

The station itself is located near the city of Pripyat, which, after complete resettlement due to the high degree of radioactive contamination, remains mothballed. To service the station, a new town of Slavutich was built in 1987, which is still distinguished by its cleanliness and variety of samples of Soviet housing architecture.

Excursions are conducted to Pripyat, to Sakofag over the destroyed 4th power unit, to the parking of contaminated equipment, to the "red forest", to the settlements of self-settlers.

Відоме з часів Стародавньої Русі місто Чорнобиль в результаті аварії на Чорнобильській атомній електростанції стало для всього світу ім'ям прозивним і потрапило до 30-кілометрової Зони відчуження.

Сама станція розташована біля міста Прип'ять, яке після повного відселення через високий ступінь радіоактивного забруднення залишається законсервованим. Для обслуговування станції у 1987 році було збудовано нове місто Славутич, яке і зараз відрізняється чистотою і різноманітністю зразків радянської житлової архітектури.

Проводяться екскурсії в Прип'ять, до Саркофагу над зруйнованим 4-м енергоблоком, на стоянку зараженої техніки, в "рудий ліс", по поселеннях самоселів.
