The town of Volodarka on the Ros River is located 35 kilometers southwest of Bila Tserkva, on the road to Tetiiv and Vinnytsia. Administratively, it is part of the Bila Tserkva district of the Kyiv region.
The settlement of Volodarka has been mentioned in chronicles since 1150. Its name is probably associated with the Old Rus name Volodar, which was worn, in particular, by the Zvenyhorod prince Volodar Rostyslavych. The remains of the Old Rus settlement are located in the "Berezovyi Hai" park in the center of the village, on the left bank of the Ros River, near the bridge and the Alley of Lovers.

Sakura Island Park

Private landscape park "Sakura Island" in Volodarka, Kyiv region, was created in 2019 by local entrepreneur and philanthropist Mykola Kaplun according to his own project. On the outskirts of the village, he landscaped an area of 1.6 hectares, where he dug a 350-meter-long canal, threw three bridges across the Ros River onto the island, and planted about 200 trees of various species, as well as 3,500 species of flowering shrubs.
"Sakura Island" is decorated in the Japanese style and has many interesting photo zones. In the center stands a pagoda with an observation deck, from which a panorama of the entire complex opens. The oriental theme is supported by a torii gate and a stone garden. There is also a grotto with a waterfall and a fountain, a colonnade in the ancient Greek style, a model of the ship "Santa Maria", on which Christopher Columbus discovered America, stylized remains of the sea monster Leviathan, and a large number of various sculptures.
For younger visitors in Sakura Island Park there is a mini-zoo and a large playground. There is a café and a restaurant on the territory, as well as holiday houses with all the amenities.
The Sakura Island park hosts an annual autumn gastronomic festival, OctoberFest.
Valor and Tragedy of Ukraine Museum

The Museum of Valor and Tragedy of Ukraine operates in the premises of the Volodarka Interschool Educational and Production Complex. It was created in 2018 by Oleksandr Ushynsky, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, with the support of the Association of War Veterans, ATO participants, family members of the deceased and disabled war veterans headed by him.
The museum exposition has three sections dedicated to the Holodomor-genocide of the Ukrainian people, the Revolution of Dignity and the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian war. The founder of the museum traveled to many de-occupied cities and villages of Ukraine, where he collected many war artifacts that testify to the crimes of the Russian army in Ukraine. Here you can see fragments of Russian weapons and ammunition, military uniforms, household appliances stolen by the Russians, etc.

The Volodarka Local Lore Museum is located in a one-story building in the center of the village of Volodarka. It is dedicated to the history of the Volodarka region, the culture of its inhabitants, as well as outstanding figures of the village.
The exposition presents more than 1,500 exhibits - from photos and paintings to historical documents and household items. In particular, in the archaeological collection: coins, women's jewelry, dishes, tools and weapons of the ancient Slavs. The ethnographic collection includes ancient clothing, embroidered shirts and towels, old icons.
