The large village of Kuty is located on the Cheremosh River 7 kilometers from Kolomyia.
It was first mentioned in 1448 as the property of a certain Mykhaylo from Voynilov, however, the remains of the settlement of the 10th-13th centuries were found. The name is probably related to the location at the corner of the Carpathians and Cheremosh, at the intersection of trade routes, which contributed to the development of trade.
