Mykytyntsi

The village of Mykytyntsi is located on the banks of the Pistynka River, 15 kilometers north of Kolomyia.

Founded in 1375. It is named after one of the founders, Mykyta Karpyak, who came here from Rohatyn (according to another version, from the village of Barvinkove).

The wooden Ascension Church (1859) and a stone cross commemorating the abolition of serfdom (1848) have been preserved.

During the opening of the monument to Taras Shevchenko in 1989 in Mykytyntsi, for the first time in Kosiv region, national flags were freely raised.

Село Микитинці розташоване на берегах річки Пістинка в 15 кілометрах на північ від Коломиї.

Засноване в 1375 році. Назване по імені одного із засновників Микити Карп'яка, який прибув сюди з Рогатина (за іншою версією - з села Барвінкове).

Збереглася дерев'яна Воздвиженська церква (1859 рік), кам'яний хрест в пам'ять про скасування кріпосного права (1848 рік).

Під час відкриття пам'ятника Тарасові Шевченку в 1989 році в Микитинцях вперше на Косівщині були вільно підняті національні прапори.
