Zhurivka

The small village of Zhurivka on the Supiy River is located 30 kilometers north of Yahotyn.

It was founded in the 17th century by the nobleman Zhura, which is where the name comes from.

In the 18th century, the village belonged to Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovsky, who built a wooden church here. In 1824, it came into the possession of Count Arkadiy Kochubey, who built here the central manor of his surrounding estates. First, he moved a wooden house here from his village of Huta in Kharkiv region, and a year later a palace was built.
