Rozhny

The village of Rozhny is located on the left bank of the Desna, on the Kyiv-Oster highway.

Founded in 1240, after the Mongol-Tatar invasion it was part of Lithuania. Since 1362, it belonged to the Polovtsian-Rozhynovsky princes, descendants of the Polovtsian Khan Tugorkan. A princely castle was built on Desna Island.

In the 17th century, the village became the property of the Aksaki noble family. In the 18th and 19th centuries, these lands belonged to the Vydubytskyi monastery, then they became state property.

The local school has a local history exhibition.

The village attracts lovers of outdoor recreation, fishermen, and mushroom pickers.

Село Рожни розташоване на лівому березі Десни, на трасі Київ-Остер.

Засноване в 1240 році, після монголо-татарської навали входило до складу Литви. З 1362 року належало князям Половцям-Рожиновським, нащадкам половецького хана Тугоркана. На деснянському острові був побудований князівський замок.

В XVII столітті село перейшло у власність дворянської родини Аксаків. В XVIII-XIX столітті ці землі належали Видубицькому монастирю, потім перейшли в державну власність.

У місцевій школі є краєзнавча експозиція.

Село приваблює любителів відпочинку на природі, рибалок, грибників.
