Buzova

The village of Buzova is located on the Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway, 25 kilometers from Kyiv, next to a forest massif.

It is believed that the name comes from the wild elder that grew in abundance along the banks of the Buzivka River that flows here.

The exact date of its foundation is unknown, but the village appears on the maps of the French geographer Beauplan, compiled no later than 1647. Residents actively participated in the Liberation War. Until 1820, it belonged to Countess Isabella Leduhivska, then it passed to the Cyvinsky nobles. In the middle of the 19th century, people's uprisings broke out here repeatedly.

The Transfiguration Church, founded in the 17th century, has not survived. A new temple is being built in its place.

In 2007, on the northern edge of the village, the creation of the ethnographic complex "Ukrainian village" began, which is a small private open-air museum of architecture and everyday life.
