The village of Kopyliv is located on the Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway.
Known since the Liberation War of the 17th century, the remains of the ramparts of the Cossack fortress have been preserved.
In 1881, Mykola von Meck, who was often visited by Petro Tchaikovsky, became the owner of the village. The manor house of von Mecca with a park has been preserved.
The village of Kopyliv was badly damaged by the Russian invaders at the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022. On March 30, 2022, the village was liberated from the occupiers.

Відоме з часів Визвольної війни XVII сторіччя, збереглися залишки валів козацької фортеці.
В 1881 році господарем села став Микола фон Мекк, в гостях у якого часто бував Петро Чайковський. Зберігся садибний будинок фон Мекка з парком.
Село Копилів сильно постраждало від російських загарбників на початку російського вторгнення 2022 року. 30 березня 2022 року село було звільнене від окупантів.

The former manor of the "railroad kings" - the fon Mekk family, friends and relatives of Petro Chaykovsky, built in Kopylov by Mykola Karlovych von Meck in 1888.
The building is wooden, on a brick plinth. A 9-hectare park with spruce and linden avenues has been preserved.
Petro Chaykovsky visited fon Mekk several times.
During the Second World War in 1943-1944, the estate housed a military hospital, then a music school.
Currently, the building is in a dilapidated state, in need of conservation and restoration.
