Sofiivska Borshchahivka

The village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka is a southwestern suburb of Kyiv on the banks of the Nyvka River, just beyond the Great Ring Road.

The name comes from the Sophia Monastery, to which the village belonged until the 18th century. Residents took part in the Liberation War. One of the largest churches in the region, the Church of the Mother of God of Kazan, is under construction.

Now the village is actually turning into a microdistrict of Kyiv, where high-rise and cottage construction is underway.

Село Софіївська Борщагівка - південно-західне передмістя Києва на березі річки Нивки, відразу за Великою Окружною дорогою.

Назва походить від Софіївського монастиря, якому село належало до XVIII сторіччя. Жителі брали участь у Визвольній війні. Добудовується одна з найбільших в області церква Казанської Божої Матері.

Зараз село фактично перетворюється в мікрорайон Києва, де ведеться активне багатоповерхове та котеджне будівництво.
