Haishyn

The village of Haishyn on the Trubizh River is located 5 kilometers north of Pereyaslav.

Known since the 18th century as a Cossack settlement. Roman Haisha, a Cossack, may have been the founder.

In 1870, the wooden church of John the Baptist was built, which has survived to this day.

On the north-eastern outskirts of the village are the remains of an Old Rus settlement of the 11th-13th centuries.

Село Гайшин на річці Трубіж розташоване в 5 кілометрах на північ від Переяслава.

Відоме з XVIII сторіччя як козацьке поселення. Можливо, засновником був козак Роман Гайша.

В 1870 році було побудовано дерев'яну церкву Іоанна Богослова, що збереглася донині.

На північно-східній околиці села знаходяться залишки давньоруського городища ХІ-ХІІІ століть.
