General information about Kyiliv
The village of Kyiliv is located on the left bank of the Dnipro downstream from Kyiv, opposite the town of Ukrainka. It is separated from the Dnipro by a dam.
According to legend, Kyi, the first prince of Kyiv, loved to fish here, hence the name. To the south of the village, a defensive rampart from the period of Ancient Rus was discovered.
In historical documents, Kyiliv is mentioned in 1628 as part of the possessions of Prince Koretsky. In the 18th century, the village belonged to the Kyiv Sophia Monastery.
In Soviet times, the coast of the Dnipro in the Kyiliv district became a recreational area. There are recreation centers and "wild" beaches.

Село Кийлів розташоване на лівому березі Дніпра нижче за течією від Києва, навпроти міста Українка. Відокремлене від Дніпра греблею.
За легендою, тут любив рибалити перший київський князь Кий, звідки пішла назва. На південь від села виявлено оборонний вал періоду Давньої Русі.
В історичних документах Кийлів згадується в 1628 році як частина володінь князя Корецького. В XVIII столітті село належало київському Софійському монастирю.
В радянські часи узбережжя Дніпра в районі Кийлова стало рекреаційною зоною. Тут є бази відпочинку та "дикі" пляжі.

The reserve-farm "Kyilivska Askania" is located in a picturesque corner of Kyiv region, far from roads. Protected from all sides by a kilometer-long strip of dense forest.
The reserve has all the conditions for recreation in the wild and for communication with animals that move freely through the territory and are practically tame.
On the territory of the reserve there are 5 ponds for fishing, where swans and geese live, and wild ducks nest. Exotic animals and birds are the wealth of "Kyilivska Askania": black African ostriches, Cameroonian goats, Vietnamese pigs, pheasants, downy chickens.
Horseback riding is available all year round for horse-riding enthusiasts, and donkey-drawn cart rides for children. You can taste exotic foods in the "Exotic Dishes" cafe-bar. There is a souvenir shop, and there is also a banquet hall for 40 people.
