Shubkiv

The village of Shubkiv on the Horyn River is located 25 kilometers northeast of Rivne.

It was first mentioned in 1445 in the description of the Lutsk castle. Belonged to the Polish Chaplych family, then Potocki, Lyubomyrskyi, Valevskyi. In 1629, the wooden Saint Nicolas church was founded, which was later moved to the cemetery.

In 1870, Shubkiv came into the possession of the Russian noblewoman Yevheniya Shenshyna from the Arsenyev family, the widow of Colonel Mykola Shenshyn.
