Zatoka

Zatoka is a large resort village on the Karolino-Buhaz spit of the Black Sea.

It arose in 1827 during the construction of a lighthouse. In 1955, a movable railway-automobile bridge was built across the strait of the Dniester estuary. Now it connects two parts of the resort, located on different parts of the spit.

The resort area is a sand spit 22 km long and 300 to 900 m wide, washed by the Black Sea on one side, and the fresh Dniester estuary on the other.

Most of the boarding houses and recreation centers are located along the spit on the Black Sea side, the other part - on the shores of the Shabolat and Dniester estuaries. There are several hotels with a high level of service, many cafes and restaurants of different levels.

The city of Bilhorod-Dnestrovskyi is located 20 km from the village with numerous historical monuments, among which is the largest in Ukraine Bilhorod (Akkerman) fortress of the 15th century.

Курортна зона являє собою піщану косу довжиною 22 кілометри і шириною від 300 до 900 метрів, що омивається Чорним морем з одного боку, і прісним Дністровським лиманом з іншої.

Більшість пансіонатів і баз відпочинку розташовано уздовж коси з боку Чорного моря, інша частина - на березі Шаболатського і Дністровського лиманів. Є кілька готелів високого рівня сервісу, безліч кафе і ресторанів різного рівня.
